Karen Grigoryan and Arman Mikaelyan are leading the table after 4 rounds

Games of round 4 of Yerevan Open international chess took place today at Chess Academy of Armenia. In top games of the round IM Arman Mikaelyan outplayed IM Tabatabei Amin in style, GM Karen Grigoryan defeated GM Artur Gabrielyan of Russia, in the clash of two time Olympic Champions Artashes Minasian lost to Tigran Petrosian. On the first board a quick draw was agreed between GM Alexey Kislinsky of Czech Republic and GM Aleksei Aleksandrov of Belarus.

After 4 rounds GM Karen Grigoryan and IM Arman Mikaelyan, both representing Armenia, lead the table with 100% score. 13 players closely trail leaders with 3.5 points each. The top game of 5th round will be the battle between Grigoryan and Mikaelyan, the latter will have white pieces.
